This, for me, is The Selecter's finest album: great ska and soul to a modern beat (n.b. it is not new wave nor pop music).4/5(47).

Celebrate the Bullet is the second album by British ska band The Selecter, released in February on Chrysalis Records after the band had left the 2 Tone label. The album was recorded with producer Roger Lomas, who plays bass on some songs, and frequently seeks a more slow, eclectic sound, with new wave influences. Band members Charley Anderson and Desmond Brown, uncomfortable with the Genre: Ska, 2 Tone, new wave.

Similar to Celebrate The Bullet - but the other version show the French price code that is missing here. Their second album, Celebrate the Bullet, described by lead singer Pauline Black as "our blue period" featured a wider range of sound, some of it fast-paced dance music, some of it thoughtful and contemplative. It didn't meet with the success of the first record, and no doubt had something to do with the band's temporary demise/5(12).

The Selecter are cool! I bought this album on vinyl when it first came out and I still have it (God, I'm showing my age!). All the ska revival was good, but this album was different, more experimental, less punky! Celebrate The Bullet and Sellng Out Your Future are 2 of my favourite songs of all time/5(16).
